Samsung TVs at CES 2023

Introduction

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual event that showcases the latest innovations in technology. Samsung, one of the leading manufacturers in the industry, never fails to impress with its cutting-edge TVs. CES 2023 was no exception, as Samsung unveiled a range of exciting new televisions. From smaller MicroLED displays to larger QD-OLED screens, Samsung is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of television.

MicroLED for the Masses

MicroLED technology has long been hailed as the next-generation alternative to OLED TVs. Its self-emitting nature, where microscopically small LEDs serve as individual pixels, offers exceptional brightness and contrast potential. However, MicroLED displays have been limited to large and expensive sizes. That is until now.

At CES 2023, Samsung surprised everyone by announcing MicroLED TVs in smaller sizes. The company unveiled a 76-inch MicroLED CX TV, along with even smaller 63- and 50-inch models. These new displays join Samsung’s existing lineup of larger MicroLED TVs, ranging from 89 to 140 inches.

Samsung promises that the 76-inch MicroLED CX TV will deliver exceptional shadow rendition with its 20-bit black detail capability. Additionally, it boasts a 240Hz variable refresh rate (VRR) and a lightning-fast 2 nanosecond response time, making it an ideal choice for gamers. What’s more, these smaller MicroLED TVs will be the first models that don’t require professional installation, making them more accessible to consumers.

Neo QLED 8K: A New Level of Visual Excellence

Samsung’s Neo QLED series has been a game-changer in the television market, and the 2023 lineup takes it to a whole new level. The Neo QLED 8K TVs, led by the QN900C series, feature Quantum Matrix Technology Ultimate with 14-bit processing. This technology enables these sets to achieve a peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits, delivering stunning visuals with exceptional detail.

One of the standout features of the QN900C series is its AI machine learning capabilities. This allows the TVs to optimize picture and audio performance, ensuring an immersive viewing experience. Moreover, the new 8K Real Depth Enhancer Pro setting enhances backlight local dimming zones, elevating luminance and extreme detail rendering.

Samsung’s commitment to a superior audio experience is evident in the flagship Neo QLED 8K TVs. These TVs feature top-firing speakers that deliver Dolby Atmos height effects without the need for additional soundbars. Furthermore, Object Tracking Sound Pro technology ensures precise placement of sound effects across the screen, creating a truly immersive audiovisual experience.

Neo QLED 4K: Elevating the 4K Viewing Experience

Not to be overshadowed by its 8K counterparts, Samsung’s Neo QLED 4K TVs offer a remarkable viewing experience. The QN95C series serves as the flagship 4K lineup for 2023. These TVs also feature 14-bit processing, which enables improved brightness and grayscale control for accurate rendering of luminance and extreme details.
